As you may well have gathered, Secondary Supply’s new website ‘went live’ in late December 2008, so now we are able to offer our clients and employees an even better service, one which combines good-old-fashioned attention to detail and responsibility with new-fangled online facilities.

WHAT THE SITE DOES FOR Secondary Supply:

The new website has come with an integral database and content management system (CMS) which allows us as an agency to operate even more efficiently than we have done in the past. It has failsafe mechanisms, for instance, that ensure no teacher can accidentally be deployed without all of the necessary 20-odd checks being made and recorded. And it enables us to find the best teacher available a little quicker than hitherto would have been possible. But it does far – far – more than that for us. And it is therefore true to say that what a visitor sees when they arrive at the site is just the tip of an iceberg!

WHAT THE SITE DOES FOR HEADTEACHERS and SUPPLY COORDINATORS:

We should say at the outset that anyone can go to the site and, without registering or logging on, view some marvellous facilities such as the massive CPD directory. Headteachers and their staff may well find this exceptionally useful.

Clients can register on the site, free of charge, and then log in. At this point it is possible to place detailed ads for both teaching and non-teaching staff. So you will be able to search for anyone from a dinner-lady to a headteacher like this. You might even use the facility to find school governors, secretaries or bursars. The contact details will be for the school itself, but clearly Secondary Supply needs to approve any wordings going onto its site. Ordinarily these ads will be approved and appear live within 24 hours. Initially – for the first month of use - this service will be entirely free. After that free trial you’ll be able to extend the service. It is designed to be inexpensive (see the SUBSCRIPTION COSTS button). And it is designed to make Secondary Supply your first point of call.
